Iñaki Alday, principal of aldayjover architecture and landscape in Barcelona is the first of four architecture chair candidates. We are very excited to have him back after hearing his lecture last year with Christine Dalnoky.
Many of the landscape architecture students had the chance to meet him at a dinner hosted by Nancy Takahashi. He gracioiusly hosted some students visiting Barcelona this past summer, and the Venice Studio fortuitously met him at the Venice Guggenheim during this past Spring Break.
As part of the Chair Candidate search, Annelise Pitts (2nd year Path A M. Arch Candidate ’12) has been working closely with the faculty to facilitate interaction between the potential chair candidates and the students. This not only gives the candidates a more personal feel of the school from the students’ perspective, but also gives the students a chance to meet the candidates a little more informally. As part of this initiative, I was able to both have breakfast with Señor Alday as well as give him a short tour of the A-School with Kara Lanahan (2nd year Path A M LAR) and Peter Malandra (2nd year Path A M LAR) Thank you Annelise for all of your hard work!
Señor Alday will be giving a lecture today at 12:30pm.
